The contemporary global economy is increasingly shaped by interconnected crises, including geopolitical conflicts, climate-related disruptions, economic fragmentation, and rapid technological change. While Indonesia has maintained relatively stable economic growth amid these challenges, such resilience conceals persistent structural constraints that continue to hinder long-term competitiveness. Low economic complexity, uneven industrial transformation, and limited productive capabilities indicate that sustainable development requires more than maintaining macroeconomic stability, it demands the capacity to adapt, innovate, and transform in an increasingly uncertain world.

In response to this pressing challenge, KOMPeK 29 introduces its grand theme, "Transcending Indonesia's Structural Constraints: Driving Economic Resilience Beyond the Polycrisis." Through this theme, KOMPeK 29 seeks to encourage a transformative approach to economic resilience by strengthening productive capabilities through Talent Sovereignty, Industrial Recalibration, Digital Autonomy, and Geoeconomic Resilience, enabling Indonesia to transcend structural barriers and build a more adaptive, competitive, and future-ready economy.
